Shadow Ace SquadronSAS // THE DECK

Privacy

Short version: the flight board keeps what you type into it for a few days, and that's it.

What we collect

  • Flight board sign-ups. The name, callsign, squadron and step time you enter are shown publicly on tonight's board. Entries drop off the board at midnight Eastern and are deleted from the database within seven days.
  • Muster board. The callsign, squadron and the blocks you mark as out for a week are shown on the muster board for that week and deleted after three weeks.
  • A device token. Your browser keeps a random token in local storage so it can change or remove your own sign-up, muster row, ideas, votes and "I'm in" marks. We store only a one-way hash of it.
  • Abuse protection. To rate-limit sign-ups we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to a day.
  • Ready Room. Event ideas you post (title, details, timing and your callsign) are shown publicly in the Ready Room, posted to our Discord, and deleted after six months unless they're scheduled. "I'm in" marks show your callsign on that op and are deleted 60 days later. Votes are stored as a one-way hash of your device token or Discord account, never with your name.
  • Discord sign-in (optional). If you sign in with Discord we check that you're in the Shadow Ace Squadron server and keep your Discord user id and display name in a signed cookie for 30 days. We never store your server list.
  • Suggestion box. What you type into the suggestion box, plus the optional callsign and Discord name, is stored for four months and posted to a wing-staff channel on our Discord server.
  • Contention stats. The Servers page shows squadron pilots' public Contention statistics, fetched from Strike Package Studios and cached for 15 minutes. We don't store them or add anything to them.
  • Hosting logs. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data to deliver and protect it.

What we don't do

  • No advertising, no tracking pixels, no selling data.
  • No analytics are running yet. If that changes, this page and a consent banner will say so first.

Removing your data

Use the × next to your entry on the board, or ask a wing officer on Discord and we'll delete it.
